I am a fan of sewing and blanket making. I
usually make blankets as gifts for babies or
friends. I often use them as a thank you
gift too.

I am married for 18 years to John, I have two children Devan and Daniel. I have a Belgian Malinois puppy named Jethro. He is 9 months old, weighs 80 pounds and thinks he a lap dog. He is alot of work, but he is also a joy beyond my expectations. Do you have any pets? What are they? Do they take alot of of your time? I often wonder lately what we did before Jett came to our family. He is such a big part of all we do.
In my time away from work I like to spend time with my frineds. My hobbies including making blankets and walking. I wish I did more exercise than I am doing now.. maybe I will soon. Making blankets is fun. I would like to sew more often, but time is an issue. I love when I carve out some time for blanket making. It is a time that makes me smile because I am thinking of whomever I am sewing for. Many of my blankets are for babies and they REALLY make me smile. In the summer time I spend time camping in my trailer. It is a restful way to spend the summer weekends and it refreshes my soul. Have you ever been camping?
Some of my favorite things are : the color purple, chocolate, my mom’s baked ziti and a nice spring day. These things make me smile and feel happy. What makes you smile?
I currently teach ELA to 5th -8th grade students. I am beginning this blog with my 5th grade class and hope to eventually expand it to all grades.
I am new to blogging myself and I will be learning along with my students. This week we will be posting some introductory information. We are hoping to work out the kinks of blogging before the challange begins next week.
